Yay to them all deciding how to take action without me prompting them.   Tonight at open mic, this guy Erick James was there.  He graduated from RPI the year i started watching hockey.  He was in the same graduating class as myf avorite hockey player ever and he played on the same team.  I've been wanting to go up and talk to him ever since i found out that it was the same Erick James and tonight i finally did and we had a great conversation.  Seven years ago this guy was one of my heroes and tonight i finally talked to him.   the jam at the end of open mic tonight was great.  Mike was on drums, steve on tambourine, jen on bass, erin on guitar, paddy on guitar and vocals and lil old me on piano.  that was much yayness.   and finally i say yay to playing originals... because i hardly ever do.. and for letting loose and yelling during one of them because i usually stay calm, but tonight i just let it all out and screamed at one part... it was great.  and i still attest that i don't have the greatest voice, but i still say yay for kristine telling me that i do   and i say yay to saying hi and talking to brendog because there's been a lot of ridiculosity going around as far as acting like we're in middle school. In my stats book, there's lots of "practical applications" for all the crap we learn.  And there's one problem that said was titled "Do fat people burn energy faster?" and had a bunch of statistics on metabolism or something.  In class, my friend Steph misread it and leaned over to me and said "What the hell kind of problem is this?  What kind of studies do you conduct to see how fast fat people burn?"  Then I got an image of a bunch of fat people in a room and a researcher in a lab coat lighting a match...and I laughed so hard I fell down.  And continued the laughing as I was forced to leave the class, and all the way back to my dorm.  I wet myself a little too.
