Jupiter Sunrise Forum    Talk    Talk Amongst Yourselves    Welcome me back to the living!!!!! « Previous topic | Next topic » Pages: 1  Reply Notify of replies Send Topic Print    Author  Topic: Welcome me back to the living!!!!!  (Read 73 times) LolaJane YaBB Senior Member I wish I were an Oscar Mayer weiner...     Gender: Posts: 321 Welcome me back to the living!!!!! « on: Jun 17th, 2004, 4:11pm » Quote Modify So for the past two or three weeks, I have been AMISH.  I just moved into my new apartment in Berkeley (where NONE of my friends are) and my life sucked.  I had no furniture (slept on the floor), no tv or internet or stereo (hence I haven't made a forum appearance in a while) and NO HUMAN INTERACTION.  Except at work, but that is not good human interaction.  It's the mean, crazy people I work with and the extra-mean, extra-crazy people I serve.  Man, it amazes me how rude people can be if they have to wait FIVE SECONDS for a freaking hot dog.  But I was waking up in the morning looking forward to seeing these morons because I was so bored and lonely.  But I just moved my furniture in (my sweet bed!!!!) and got technology back.  In fact, I just spent the last hour staring at the exposed ass crack of the cable guy setting up my internet.  That was pleasant.  So now I have the internet so I can interact with people again (sort of- this is interacting, right?) and cable tv so I can have my pretend two-dimensional friends.  Yay!   Just thought I'd make this post announcing my return. But I digress.   Yeah, I love being back on the forum.  I miss all my JS peers!  And speaking of, when the hell do I get to see the band again?  I'm still not seeing any Nor-Cal dates.  Can someone (Liv or Casey, using feminine wiles) please make a suggestion to the gentlemen? Casey YaBB God/goddess     Gender: Posts: 853 Re: Welcome me back to the living!!!!! « Reply #6 on: Jun 19th, 2004, 8:03pm » Quote Modify Um...sorry, no North Cali dates as of yet.  We're playing Anaheim on Monday with Melee then heading out to the midwest.  But hey, if my feminine wiles can't get the boys to play my old stomping ground (Nebraska) then how do you expect me to get a show in North Cali??  Trust me, I've been wanting to go up there too, just to see it and do the tourist stuff.  But I know the reason that they haven't been playing a lot of dates in June and July is because the record label was supposed to get them a bunch of in-store performances and stuff and so they were told not to book many shows.  Well, turns out that (gasp) the in-stores fell through and now the guys are screwed!  But Ben, Mark, and Chris will be visiting the Cali Warped Tour dates while Aaron and I are in Alaska and hopefully they'll be setting up the merch or something, and I know they're planning more touring at the end of July.  So keep checking the website and e-mailing Mark on your wishes.  I'll do what I can, but unfortunately, it's not much.  Hope this helps.
