Man, that has got to be one of the coolest jobs.  Did you work at the swimming trials?  That's the only one I've read about.  I heard that the swimming trials were actually more intensely competitive than the actual Olympic swimming competition, because in the trials it's all Americans and there are so many amazing American swimmers.  What trials did you work at?

I'm excited to go look for apartments in Ohio tomorrow!  Besides from the crappy overnight flight and missing some JS shows, it'll be nice to find a place to live on my own, especially after not having anywhere to stay all summer!

Casey, you must be psyched.  I don't know how you've managed to be without a home all summer.  (And summer's not over yet!)  I am very uptight about everything being in its place, so it's hard for me to go on the road where there's no personal space whatsoever!  But it would probably be good for me to try to do what you've done, as it would make me less uptight.

Good luck apartment hunting - hope you find a cute place!

Thanks Liv.  As I said, I am pretty excited.

This summer has been really great.  Yes, it's stressful not having a real "house" or anything, but I think it's made me more laid back.  Plus, getting to be with Aaron all summer long has been entirely worth any of the other stuff we've had to deal with.

i'm the opposite-- i love being on the road and away from a set, situated "house."  When i was on tour, we stayed in different houses every night with different people and basically lived out of the bus... i'm kind of a spontaneous person, i don't like anything to stay the same for too long, so for me, it was perfect.  I get kind of antsy after being in a place too long.

anyway, apart from that tangient, today's yay is getting to see the best friend i ever had tomorrow!  We saw each other every single day all throughout my 3 years at middle school; halfway into my freshman year (when she was in 7th grade) her family moved to Iowa and I've seen her once or twice since.  They're back in the area so tomorrow I get to see them!  I can't wait, they're like my second family.

Andy and I were singing beatles song, flipping through my new sheet music book... we came to "In my Life" and I said "Should we play this the right way?"
he goes "What do you mean?"
I started playing "Suddenly" on the piano, and he goes "I hoped that's what you meant."
So we played Suddenly the way they used to sing it, with In My Life in the middle, and halfway into it his girlfriend calls and he just tells her to hang on a sec so we finished singing the song... it was a great moment.
